Drawing inspiration from the frames worn by the protagonist in the 1970s cinematic classic 'Taxi Driver', these sunglasses from Eyevan represent a meticulous study of vintage eyewear. The design team incorporated textures found on early Showa period roof tiles into the end pieces and temples, creating a subtle yet distinct geometric pattern. The acetate temples take cues from historical American silhouettes of the 1960s, balanced with original 4-base glass lenses. These lenses were developed in unison with the manufacturer to achieve a precise depth of colour and clarity.
