Collection: Rototo
When we speak about 'lifelong consumables' at GOODS, we are often referring to the philosophy of RoToTo. Based in Japan’s Nara Prefecture, a region synonymous with hosiery since 1910, RoToTo approaches the humble sock with a level of dedication usually reserved for fine tailoring. Their mission is simple yet profound: to provide a sense of 'small happiness' every time you pull them on.
The manufacturing process is a dialogue between tradition and modern utility. Depending on the desired gauge and texture, RoToTo utilises a variety of machinery, ranging from heritage non-computerised knitters to specialized modern equipment. By working onsite with factory craftspeople in towns like Kōryō and Gose, they develop bespoke yarn blends that prioritise comfort and structural integrity over mass production.
Choosing the right sock is a foundational part of getting dressed. Whether you require the robust feel of a heavy-gauge knit or the refined profile of a cotton-silk blend, these are pieces designed to endure daily wear. We invite you to explore the latest arrivals in-store and online to find your own favourite pair.
