Monocle

Monocle magazine was founded in 2007 by Canadian journalist and man of the world Tyler Brülé. He called it ”the media project I always wanted to do”. The London based magazine gives a sophisticated take on global affairs, culture, fashion, travel, business and much more and is published 10 times a year. Monocle has however since grown into much more than just a magazine, offering a big online presence, podcasts, cafés in both Tokyo and London and retail stores in New York, London, Toronto, Hong Kong and Singapore. In 2013 Monocle published their first book in collaboration with German publishing house Gestalten. The title was ”The Monocle Guide to Better Living”. Proving to be an instant hit it was soon followed by ”The Monocle Guide to Good Business” and the recent ”The Monocle Guide to Cosy Homes” which came out in August 2015. 2015 also saw the launch of their travel guides, the first two being New York and London, followed by Hong Kong and Tokyo with more titles on the way.
