The Goods Perch - 9 AM on October 24th

A meeting of vision and craft, Goods and Julius Nielsen OFFICE present The Goods Perch — a folding chair that embodies their shared pursuit of beauty, function, and enduring design. Emerging as a natural continuation of the interior created for the Goods store two and a half years ago, it carries forward the same narrative of material honesty, quiet refinement, and timeless appeal.

Crafted from oil-treated fumed oak and raw, untreated aniline leather, The Goods Perch unites nature’s strength and softness. Over time, both wood and leather respond to light and use — deepening, darkening, evolving. This transformation is not only expected but embraced, woven into the very soul of the design and reflective of the shared values of Julius Nielsen OFFICE and Goods.

The chair consists of few but finely detailed elements. Custom precision-milled brass bolts join the frame, with each component meticulously shaped by artisan hands — guided by tradition and a commitment to the highest standards of material and craft. Produced in Denmark at the esteemed Rammelisten workshop.

The Goods Perch is released in a limited edition of fifteen pieces. Each chair is individually numbered, with a price of 14.800 DKK.

At 9 AM on October 24th, the launch of The Goods Perch will be marked by a talk at the Goods store. Architect Julius Nielsen will be in conversation with esteemed furniture designer Maria Bruun, who also leads as Head of Design at Fredericia Furniture. Together they will discuss quality, longevity, and the idea of continuous work — themes that underpin the collaboration, the chair, and the work of both Julius and Maria.

Seats for the event are limited. Those wishing to attend are kindly asked to request participati- on by writing to rsvp@goodscph.com
