We have kept a close eye on Alden for many years, waiting for the right moment to introduce the storied American shoemaker to the shelves at GOODS. Established in 1884, the family-owned company represents a level of traditional craftsmanship that aligns with our appreciation for footwear built to last a lifetime.
Starting now, we are carrying a small, focused selection of Alden shoes. In keeping with our belief in the importance of physical retail, these will initially be available only in our Østerbro shop. This arrival marks the beginning of what we intend to be a long-term relationship with the brand, as we slowly grow our collection over the seasons to come. While our current selection is specific, we are also able to facilitate orders for styles and models that we do not typically carry in the shop.
To mark this beginning, we are pleased to welcome Alden’s International Sales Director, John Happ, to the store on September 2nd. John will be with us throughout the day to share his expertise on Alden’s specific lasts, leather qualities, and the forensic details of their construction.
