Johnstons of Elgin

Johnstons of Elgin have been producing cashmere and wool knitwear in Scotland since 1797. Their cashmere is sourced from farms in inner Mongolia where sustainability and good pastures are key to encouraging the growth of the finest fibres in the world. These fibres then go through 30 different manufacturing processes in Scotland, at the company’s mills in Hawick and Elgin before reaching the finished product. In both plants, skilled craftsmen and women ensure that the skills which have been developed and preserved through generations of families are represented in the contemporary products that the brand produce today.
